Description

Yamaha’s 90hp Midrange four-stroke outboards are reliable performers for inshore use. They are fast and powerful, featuring a 1.8-liter displacement and DOHC or SOHC designs with four valves per cylinder. This design gives them exceptional volumetric efficiency and lighter weights. The F90 model offers 25-inch shaft options, making it an ideal choice for mid-size boats, including anglers trolling large, rough waters in 25-inch-transom multi-species boats. These engines are a powerful addition to Yamaha’s lineup and will enhance your boating experience.
The 1.8-liter I-4 F90 features greater displacement and a single-overhead-camshaft design with four valves per cylinder. This boosts power and volumetric efficiency, streamlines design, and makes the F90 a leader in torque and acceleration.
Key Features

Charging Power: The F90 features a three-phase alternator that produces up to 35 amps of power. For the 90hp, that’s 40 percent more output than previous designs. That’s plenty of electrical power for battery charging and accessories, with more to spare.

Variable Trolling: The F90 features Yamaha’s Variable Trolling RPM Switch (VTS®). This allows for precision adjustment of trolling speeds in 50-RPM increments, from 550 to 1000 RPM for the 90hp. It even allows for sub-idle trolling. This is a major plus for anglers.

Extended Engine Life: A Freshwater Flush Device allows you to flush the engine without starting it, for maximum convenience, durability and engine life.

$410 Dealer Engine Prep – Our factory qualified technicians perform a full test run of your new outboard by unpackaging it and connecting it to rigging, fuel, battery, and diagnostic computer. We run the motor up to operating temperature and test every operation of the motor to ensure your new motor is working just as it should be. The manufacturer’s required inspection checklist is completed and submitted to the manufacturer to validate the warranty.
